Named for the oldest warrior at Troy — still competing, still respected, training with more intention than anyone around him.
Built around the reality of training after 40 — joint-friendly movement selection, longer warm-ups, and strength and mobility working together rather than against each other.

Three full-body sessions per week, with walking and mobility on the days between. The goal is not just to get stronger — it is to build the habits that keep you training for decades.
The three days between sessions carry the conditioning — lighter work with a real job. Aerobic base is what lets you recover between hard sessions, and it is central to how long you keep training at all — so what goes into those days changes as the phases progress. What those days hold changes each phase — pure conversational walking first, short intervals later, by-feel in Phase III when the lifting is heaviest. One rule governs all of it: if your lifts start sliding, trim the conditioning first — and check sleep, stress, and food while you are at it.
Training is only part of the picture — the book's Daily Checklist covers the daily habits, training day or not.
An optional four-week Pre-Phase comes before Week 1 — a conservative on-ramp if you are new, detrained, or returning after being cleared to train; a ramp, not rehabilitation. Then three phases of four weeks each.
Ships as a print-ready PDF with full exercise tables, a week-by-week calendar, and this program's own pre-filled digital training log. (Mnemosyne is the blank, universal edition — not required.)

Nestor, king of Pylos, fought beside two generations of heroes and was still on the field at Troy with a third — the oldest of the Greeks, still racing chariots. His edge was never youth; it was knowing exactly how to use what he had.
Nestor trades recklessness for wisdom — strength work with recovery built in, so the training you do this decade is still paying out two decades from now.
