Kairos relief after Lysippos, Trogir
12 WEEKS · 15 MIN/DAY · DUMBBELLS OR RESISTANCE BANDS

Kairos

Named for the Greek concept of the opportune moment — the right time, used well.

Fifteen minutes a day, six days a week — with an optional seventh. Expect short, focused sessions built to accumulate strength and lean mass without requiring a gym — consistent effort over time, not a single heroic effort once in a while.

The myth behind the name

The moment with the forelock

The Greeks kept two words for time. Chronos is the time that passes; Kairos is the moment worth seizing. They sculpted Kairos with wings on his feet and a single lock of hair over his forehead — you catch him as he approaches, because the back of his head is bald: once past, there is nothing to hold.

Fifteen minutes is a Kairos moment. The program turns seizing it into a habit — short, focused sessions that come around every day, asking only that you catch them.

The approach

How the program works

Each session is 15 minutes or less. Day 7 is an optional catalyst session — choose either the Core or Glutes focus workout, drop in a Train Areté add-on program (see the Optional Catalyst Sessions page), or take a full rest day. Keep sessions tight: pick up the dumbbell, start the clock, and stop at 15 minutes.

The same 7-day pattern repeats every week within a phase. Complete each phase for a full 4 weeks before moving to the next. Day 7 is an optional catalyst session — use the included Workout 7 (Core or Glutes focus), drop in a Train Areté add-on program (sold separately), or take a full rest day (see the Optional Catalyst Sessions page).
The structure

What's inside

Three phases of four weeks each, and what moves is the rest: 45 seconds between sets, then 30, then none at all inside a Phase III circuit. The reps never change — 8‑10 throughout — so the sessions get harder by getting denser, which is how they keep progressing for twelve weeks without ever getting longer than fifteen minutes. No weight is printed anywhere in the book: every set is prescribed by effort, in reps left in reserve.

Who it's for

Nearly every Train Areté program reserves an optional catalyst-session slot in its weekly calendar — specialization add-ons from the add-on library are built to drop straight into it. If your program has no catalyst day, the specialization add-ons carry a Micro-Catalyst page that doses the same work in minutes.
